City Of Dis

City of Dis is a Game Noir game with aspects of the Steampunk genre and characteristics of Infamous and the not released as of then Deus Ex: Human Revolution and LA Noire games.
The idea was developed back in the winter of 2011 as part of a project for the "Writing for Video Games and Emerging Media " at Ithaca College.

You played as Spayde, a detective working on a mobile drilling city working its way through a moon, its residents harvesting the important mineral known as aether.

Guild Wars - new skills and what not.

Skills -
(ill figure out costs, activation times and recharges some other time)

One or two pve skills for each class combination. (x/z)

W/N : Ethereal Weapon - (weapon spell?) for x seconds, your attacks have 100% armor penetration.

W/E: The (weapon) of elements / Elemental Weapon. - Your attacks inflict burning and for 2-3 seconds, have 25% armor penetration and snare foe for 2 seconds (10%)


A/Mo : (name) hex. if target foe dies while under this hex, your party members are healed for x.

A/Me: (name)Chaotic Flurry? -skill/enchant. Your attack skills interupt. Deal x damage if you interupt a skill.

A/N: Daggers of Grenth - Your attacks steal x...y health from target foe and inflict poison for n seconds with critical hits.

P/N: Commandments of Grenth - party members steal health with attacks/skill usage/ Deal dark damage.

P/W: Commandments of Balthazar. party members move and attack x% faster

P/Me: Commandments of Lyssa. party members interupt with w? and deal chaos damage.

P/Mo: Commandments of Dwayna.

P/R: Commandments of Melandru.


Warlock's Aura. (E/N or N/E..) umm.. when a foe dies within earshot, you gain health equal to the amount of energy you have?

Battlemage's Aura? (E/W / E/Me)

A/E: Elemental furry. attack x..y% faster, random chance of one of 4 effects with each critical hit. (ala drunken blow) matching elemntal type damge inflicted rather than weapon's type.

Cover Hex: hex spell- cover hex can not be removed or end early. All hexes under cover hex can also not be removed or end early (save some conditional ones)

Super Death Nova - elite. All your minions are enchanted with death nova and lose x...y...n health per second.

Elemental Storm - You summon a storm of elements that lasts for 10(?) seconds. -> combine chain lightning, once every 3 seconds for 9 seconds, maelstrom? for 10seconds, fire storm/ metoer shower for 9/10 seconds and (earth damage every 3 seconds, blind at start for x seconds, blind at end for x seconds)

Master of Minons: sacrifice 50...33% health. For x seconds, your undead servants do not suffer health degen, deal + n ... y damage (and attack s % faster?) You suffer from 10 health degen and move 25% slower.

Reap Soul: target summoned or undead foe dies(is destroyed) and you gain x health and y energy.
double recharge time if target was a monk. ?

Mark of the Reaper/Lich: target foe takes +x damage from attacks, is interupted by cold damage and has -24 armor. (healing reduction by y%? suffer n degen? ; conditions last twice as long)


(Incomprehensible images?lol name) Target foes attacks and offensive spells have a n% chance to target one of it's allies and defensive skills have n% chance to target it's enemies.

Conjure Cheap Tricks. (aprils fools perhaps?) Target and adjacent foes are struck by lightning every 3 seconds for 9 seconds, blinded by flashes, and knocked over by "smoke phantoms" (wind whirls)

W/P? : "You are all cowards!" Target and adjacnent foes suffer from weakness and cracked armor / deep wound for n seconds and are knocked down if not attacking."

"By the bear!" you have +2? to your (primary?) attribute(s) Deal n% more damage? Take y% less damage?

"Blood will fall this night!" If party members or nearby enemies suffer from bleeding, then something.

Illusions of Grandeur. mesmer. you have +x health, +y armor and deal +n damage. ends if something... (you are hit(disregard; its 7am), suffer from a condition or hex?)


Langmar's Oath.

Boil blood / Blood Boil: if target foe is bleeding, bleeding stops, for x seconds nothing happens. Then target foe suffers from burning for y seconds and take n fire damage each second for z seconds.

Cauterize: Inflict burning if target foe is bleeding. stop bleeding. apply deep wound? or, your (elemental magic) skills do +damage for n seconds ?

Hermit's Retreat. (something to do with conditions? blocking? enemy spell prevention?
...If you are not near any allies then you have +armor? %blocking? n health regen? healed for y?

Light blast? (dammit burst of light...) (lightbringer title). Target and nearby foes are hit by a burst of light that does x...y damage, blinds?? and sets undead, demonic and summoned foes on fire.

Leper's Touch. (necro) touch skill. target touched foe suffers from poison, disease, and weakness. This foe receives 33% less healing for n seconds and all conditions on target foe spread to any of its nearby allies for y seconds.
25-17% life sacrifice on use?

Blessed winds? Winds of Melandru? - Projectiles (arrows, spears, wand attacks, projectile spells) travel 200% faster and chants, shouts and echos reach 100% farther and last 50% longer.

Hurricane winds: Projectiles have half their normal range and a 33% chance to miss. Shouts, chants, and echoes last 25-33% shorter and have half their range.

"Silence minion!" skill. target foe can not use shouts, chants or echoes for y..x seconds. (can not be removed- is not hex)

Unholy spear: deals dark damage, steals n health. causes a condition...

Dwarven Fortitude. Skill. +n armor +x health. y% damage reduction.


Clothesline. You move 33% faster. Run directly at target foe. When in touch range, target foe is knocked down and you continue to run forward. You have a 50% chance to block and have 25% damage reduction while using this skill/in this stance. Ends when target foe gets up.

Pow!/Right in the kisser. Bash target foe's face. Knockdown? Cause 5 second daze. Cracked armor?. Deals n damage. Target foe suffers from blurred vision for 5 seconds.

GW2 Greatsword: The Firey Avenger - Longsword skin, only bigger and on fire like the fiery gladius. Deals fire damage. and hell, maybe slashing.

Ectoplasmic Armor, available in Underworld. Crafted by King Frozenwind's best armorer. available after defeating Dhuum.
-requires more ectos than shards, compared to obby armor. Gemstones- diamonds, rubies, sapphires, doa gems, other rare elite crafting materials, and a certain rank in the new Grenth title track.

Admiral Saidon quest in FoW - lead to end boss. Menzies or Menzies' lieutenant.

Goddess of Truth gets corrupted and the entire world needs brave heroes to put an end to her.

What ever happened to the Scepter of Orr? Livia found it but then lost/got rid of it. Mini mission/story about its fate.

Easy Mode. Terribad loot, laughable enemies. for some of your favorite places.

Legend's Mode. =quests/missions give less exp, less money (when applicable) more faction/reputation reward.
(I want to get r5 norn before reaching level 20, doable, but annoying. 100points on repeat and still 2500 exp for missions!? come on.

God Mode. Available once campagin/expansion is defeated in its entirety on Hard Mode. Level 40 monsters commonplace. 200-300gold drops from peons. Massive damage. Health bonus and attribute level upgrades for you and party when in instance (like Journey to the North only on steroids)

Powerful skills/items for those who have maxed them all. Access to extremely high end areas.

A mini mission from Ventari. Protect seedlings or something..

Journal - for keeping notes / track of things in game - who is who on friend's list, what do i want to do next, what armor am i getting.
hell, this could be linked to a twitter clone. - reach an achievement and gweet about it. (tweet+ Guild Wars / geek)

Better control of the miniatures monument in HoM

Hero's Descent - pvp arena. 1 player, 7 heroes vs. 1 player w/ 7 heroes. could be 1v1, 1v1v1... 1v1v1v1 2v2.

Too late, but "Guild Alliance Battles" (Alliance vs. Alliance; alliance battles is taken).
10 guilds vs. 10 guilds in a 160 person battle royale. new title track? Heroic Champions lol.. "Guild Warrior"

/krank and /lrank emotes for players who have reached r12 in the kurzick / luxon titles. - emote would simply be the effect with the urn or spear are dropped. perhaps slightly modified if need be.

A random chest at the end instances for completing the campaigns/eotn. (more amulets/books/keys can be earned in god mode or something) - rewards a random item, from crap to awesome unique things.
(mini jalis iron iron / everlasting jalis) (kuunavang, shiro and rurik are already done... so i'll figure those rewards out.. Everlasting Lich tonic.. Everlasting Mallyx...)

-Option for players who have vanquished an area (if all members in the party have vanquished it) - zone is devoid of all (or most) foes. ("I killed everything here an hour ago, why is everything back?" (an exception for bosses would be nice, but unbalanced... )

Costumes that match/fit with other festival hats. (Lupine mask-> lupine suit) (yule cap -> yule suit (hello santa))
these could be purchased in the store rewards for quests, or obtained through perhaps some other means.

The ability to "dedicate" yourself. To a certain faction and/or a certain god. You would gain certain / more advantages with some people/things/places, but probably lose them elsewhere. Undoable? Like attributes? Maybe require extensive questing/cost to undo.
Ex. I am a necro allied with the norn, a devout follower of Grenth and i pay homage to the bear spirit. = what it could do -> strength of the norn active everywere, ursan blessing lasts longer, acts as if you were rank 12 or 15 norn.. other norn skills would also be enhanced. as would necro/ rit and water prayers skills.. perhaps some other thing too.. life steal / disease resistance... (like a permanent shrine blessing)
-Someone allied with the flame legion and a follower of abbadon or the great destroyer is a dick.

Memory Mode or something with a better name. - relive your past exploits. No rewards but some stuff is nice to see again. (WiK - battle LA, The Wedding, non stone dwarves in battledepths..)

Return to Pre. You are sent back to presearing (proph chars only) You must have no items or armor equipped and NOTHING in inventory. You are reverted back to level one, your skills are removed and attributes set to 0. You may relive the olden days and perhaps get yourself to LDoA. Talk to Kimmes in Ascalon City at any time to end the journey into the past.
Upon return to present day, your skills will be returned and you will be able to retrieve your items, weapons and armor.
